Hey, I like my morning coffee,
and there's a comforting quality
in every steaming cup of hot tea,
but nothing hits the spot
like drinking in the beauty of thee.
Yes, I enjoy my cookies and crumpets
and a splash of honey on my buns,
but there's just no feast or fare
when the lunch hour is calling
like the taste of your lips, my dear.
And though chocolates are so tempting,
I'd chuck them over my shoulder
faster than my heart could beat,
were I to choose between them and you
as my bedtime treat.
